We believe that if we are not having fun being the church then we are not doing it right! Well, then we must be doing it right! There is a family game night each month as well as New Year’s Eve. Whenever the members and friends of First Church gather there is laughter and jokes and good natured teasing and just an absolute good time.
We like to eat together. Over twenty full meals are shared in the dining room each year. There are breakfasts and pot lucks and luncheons and every Sunday morning after worship there are goodies to enjoy.
Women Empowered and Blessed (WEB) meets each month for friendship and Christian service and includes all women. The Women’s Guild is a circle for senior women and meets each month.
There are three small “koinonia” groups. These meet monthly in the homes of members for friendship and mutual support.
Two weekend spiritual retreats are enjoyed each year: a Women’s retreat every October and Family Winter Weekend each February.
